ABCs 2023: Immediate brands maintain market-leading positions

Immediate Media Co, home to trusted brands that people love, has posted a combined print and digital circulation of 902,159* for reporting titles January-December 2023.
Immediate’s ABC audited print circulation is 815,421, down 13.6% year-on-year, with 100% of its circulation actively purchased.
Immediate’s ABC audited digital circulation is 86,738, up 5% year-on-year.
Immediate’s brands are market-leaders in the majority of categories it operates in, including Food, Gardening, and History.

BBC Gardeners’ World magazine
BBC Gardeners’ World magazine, the UK’s number one gardening magazine brand, posted a combined circulation of 215,569, down 13% year-on-year.
BBC Gardeners’ World magazine’s 2023 May issue, featuring its annual 2 for 1 Gardens to Visit Guide, was the highest revenue grossing monthly title in the UK in 15 years, selling over 345,000 copies, featuring in national press and TV.
BBC Good Food magazine
BBC Good Food is the UK’s biggest food media brand, posted a combined circulation of 151,158, down 8% year-on-year.

Radio Times
Radio Times, the UK’s best-selling quality magazine and the largest weekly subscription title. posted a combined circulation of 380,915, down 6% year-on-year.
In its 100th year, Radio Times, remains the leading voice in broadcasting in the UK. Its iconic Christmas issue generated £4.8m on the newsstand alone – the most valuable single-issue title in the UK.
History
BBC History Magazine, the UK’s leading history title, posted a combined circulation of 76,001, down 9% year on year.
BBC History Magazine’s website, historyextra.com, grew by 42% in 2023 (Source: Ipsos Iris), and the market-leading History Extra podcast averaged 3.9m downloads a month in 2023.
