Thursday 8 June, 2023
Immediate Media Co, the special interest content and platform company, celebrated BBC Good Food scooping the Readly Award at The British Society of Magazine Editors Talent Awards 2023 on Tuesday 6 June.
The Readly Award recognises the magazine article that has reached the highest number of unique readers on Readly, between 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022.
BBC Good Food’s ‘What’s your Perfect Comfort Food?’ (October 2022) article managed to truly catch people’s interest among the thousands of issues and articles available on the platform.
The judge’s added: “This article found its home with a digital audience as the most-read article on the Readly platform in 2022. With Food & Drink as one of the most engaged categories on Readly, it’s no wonder the article from BBC Good Food truly captures the diversity and feeling of what comfort food does best.”
“This is a fantastic win, and well-deserved recognition for BBC Good Food’s audience-centric approach. In ‘What’s your favourite comfort food?’ readers and food experts from a wide variety of backgrounds share their stories and recipes, including lasagne macaroni cheese, Nigerian oxtail stew and an amazing chai bread & butter pudding.”
Christine Hayes, BBC Good Food’s Editor in Chief
