12 month maternity cover

About the role

As Head of Digital Marketing, you will lead Immediate Live’s digital strategy and operations during a period of maternity leave. This is a temporary role, responsible for managing a central digital team (Paid Social Exec, PPC Exec, SEO & Content Exec) and overseeing Email and Organic Social strategy and delivery within event marketing teams. You will work very closely with the senior central marketing team, including the Marketing Director, Senior Marketing Manager, and UX and CRO Lead, ensuring a collaborative and joined-up approach to digital marketing across the business.

As a Head of Digital Marketing, you will;

  • Lead the central function digital operations and execute digital strategies aligned with department organisational goals.
  • Manage and motivate the Senior Paid Social Exec, PPC Exec, and SEO & Content Exec, fostering a high-performing and positive team culture.
  • Oversee and optimise all digital channels, including paid social, PPC, SEO, email marketing, and organic social.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Marketing Director, Senior Marketing Manager, and UX and CRO Lead to ensure digital activity supports central and event marketing strategies.
  • Oversee Email and Organic Social strategy and delivery within event marketing teams, providing best practice guidance and support.
  • Drive digital transformation projects, embedding new digital capabilities and promoting innovation.
  • Monitor and report on digital marketing performance, using data-driven insights to inform decisions and optimise campaigns.
  • Ensure continuity and stability of digital leadership during the maternity cover period, maintaining clear documentation and processes for ongoing work.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless campaign delivery.
  • Ensure all digital communications are accurate, on brand, and compliant with GDPR and best practice.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Head of Digital Marketing or Senior Digital Marketing Manager role, ideally within the events or ticket selling industry.
  • Strong leadership and line management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop digital teams.
  • Expertise in paid social, PPC, SEO, email marketing, and organic social.
  • Demonstrable experience in digital transformation and innovation.
  • Excellent project management, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative approach to working with senior colleagues.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR and digital marketing compliance.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and deliver results within a short-term engagement.
