olive Magazine Survey reveals Gen Z’s attitudes to food
Monday 16 October, 2023
The findings shows Gen Z choose bubble tea over booze, take their cooking cues from TikTok rather than the clock, and plan holidays based on the food they can try.
The survey of over 1000 16- to 26-year-olds nationwide is an in-depth look at Gen Z’s habits and attitudes towards eating and drinking, mealtimes, and food shopping.
Growing up alongside today’s 16-26-year-olds, olive magazine, known for its passion for simple, seasonal food, has today (Monday 16 October) revealed the findings of a survey into Gen Z’s cooking, food shopping and eating habits, commissioned to mark its 20th anniversary.
“Every generation approaches food in a new way. It’s fascinating to see how Gen Z – the generation born, like olive, between 1997 and 2012 – has embraced the idea that food should be enticing to look at and eat, and its evolving opinions on traditions, sustainability and healthy eating. The results reveal a picture of a generation who think and care deeply about food and drink – and that is reason enough to celebrate.”
